SEND and Inclusion at St. Joseph's

At St Joseph’s inclusion means we make best endeavours to ensure our learners are included, recognised as individuals with individual needs, and make adjustments to allow all our learners to have the same opportunities to succeed. This is underpinned by our Catholic ethos; we believe all humans to be equal and valued as children of God. As such we promote equality, celebrate diversity and challenge prejudices. Our whole school vision further supports this ethos, describing our intent to deliver the highest quality education to all of our pupils:

At St. Joseph's, an irresistible world of discovery and fascination will inspire our community to achieve as innovative, lifelong learners. We will grow together in a safe, aspirational and encouraging environment, strengthening our relationship with God and with each other through sacrament, service and our shared British values.

Inclusion at St. Joseph's is managed by Mrs Wells, the SENCo, with the support of Mrs O'Loughlin, Learning Mentor. For a brief explanation of the Inclusion system  at St. Joseph's, and answers to Frequently Asked Questions, please download the leaflet below.
